I always loved kindergarten-style pattern cutting and potato printing, so I decided to have fun with this one! The pattern is inspired by old-school Matisse prints and a recent hike into the wilderness with fields of wildflowers. I always loved Matisse's bold colours and abstract elements so I used that as a foundation for this piece.
